Dr. Cameron has 21+ years of IT leadership and a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA), which enables him to connect academic rigor with practical innovation. My doctoral research analyzed how 19,698 students made critical decisions through AI interactions, revealing insights that challenge conventional wisdom about technology adoption. As Assistant Director of IT at Rutgers, I transform these findings into strategies that have driven 40% efficiency gains across 25 departments.
I am not the conventional IT leader. My distinctive trajectory—from computer science to public administration to business administration, culminating in a doctorate—has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of organizational challenges. This multidisciplinary approach has enabled me to lead initiatives that others considered impossible. For example, I created Rutgers’ first online contract management system, processing over 1,000 contracts annually, and developed platforms that revolutionized conference experiences for thousands.
My passion is identifying the factors that contribute to genuine organizational success. Through my research and practice, I have discovered that the most advanced technology is rarely the determining factor; rather, it’s the comprehension of the human aspects of digital transformation. I focus on sustainable, people-centered innovation, whether consulting with nonprofits, mentoring emerging leaders, or implementing enterprise solutions.
Currently investigating: AI ethics in education, the future of human-AI collaboration, and how organizations can utilize technology while maintaining their human touch.
