Dr. Silas Marimo

Dr. Marimo is a seasoned finance and risk management professional with extensive experience in senior executive leadership within the financial services sector in Zimbabwe. He brings a proven track record in strategic oversight of operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks.

Dr. Marimo has presented original research on advancing cross-border payments, financial integration, and remittances at a joint Group of Twenty (G20), South African Reserve Bank, and Bank for International Settlements conference, and at the 10th International Conference on Globalization, Entrepreneurship and Emerging Economies at the University of London. He additionally serves as a Council Member of the Harare Institute of Public Health (HIPH).

Dr. Marimo holds a Doctorate in Finance from the University of Johannesburg, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Master of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from the National University of Science and Technology. His expertise in investment strategy, governance, and financial analysis will be instrumental in guiding GTA's investment portfolio and strengthening our financial infrastructure.
