Zolani Mkiva

HRH Zolani Mkiva is the President and Director-General of the Institute of African Royalty (IAR). He is the incumbent General Secretary of the Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (CONTRALESA). HRH is the former member of Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, where he served as the Chairman of the Select Committee of Public Enterprises as well as Chairman of the Select Committee on Petitions and Executive Undertakings. He also served as a member for several Parliamentary Committees, namely, Joint Committee on Constitutional Review, Joint Committee on Financial Management and Parliamentary Group on International Relations.

He has a wealth of experience as a board member for business , government and civic institutions. HRH Mkiva has served as the CEO of the National Arts Council of South Africa. He has been a board member of the National Heritage Council of South Africa, Chairman of the National Delphic Council of South Africa, board member of the International Delphic Committee, Vice President of the Black Sea Caspian Sea International Fund, President of the Mkiva Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Mkiva Humanitarian Awards. He is currently a board member of the Robbin Island Museum.
